SUMMIT FOUNDATION
Summit FOUNDATION est une fondation suisse indépendante, sans but lucratif, créée par Laurent Thurnheer en janvier 2001.
Elle a pour but de défendre la nature de ce pays, notamment ses montagnes et ses lacs, dont le charme et la beauté en ont fait une destination touristique particulièrement attractive.
Summit FOUNDATION se base sur 2 axes principaux: les activités de sensibilisation aux problèmes environnementaux et proposer des solutions simples et concrètes applicables au quotidien.
Son défi est celui de rendre compatible vie quotidienne, loisirs et protection de la nature.
SUMMIT FOUNDATION
Summit FOUNDATION is an independent non-profit swiss foundation set up by Laurent Thurnheer in January 2001.
Its goal is to protect Switzerland's scenery and nature, in particular its lakes and mountains, which charm and beauty
made the country one of the most attractive travel destination. Summit FOUNDATION has two main modi operandi:
public awareness campaigns about nowadays environmental challenges and providing simple and convenient solutions
for everyday life; the aim being to make daily life and sustainable development compatible.
SUMMIT FOUNDATION
Summit FOUNDATION ist eine unabhängige schweizerische Non-Profit-Organisation, die im Januar 2001 von Laurent Thurnheer gegründet wurde.
Sie hat sich dem Schutz der Schweizer Natur verschrieben, insbesondere seiner Berge und Seen, deren Charme und Schönheit das Land zu einem besonders attraktiven Reiseziel für Touristen gemacht haben.
Dabei konzentriert sich Summit FOUNDATION auf zwei Schwerpunktbereiche: Aufklärungsaktionen zur Sensibilisierung für Umweltprobleme sowie Bereitstellung einfacher und alltagstauglicher Lösungen.
Die Mission der Stiftung besteht darin, Alltag, Freizeit und Naturschutz miteinander in Einklang zu bringen.
LES ACTIVITÉS PRINCIPALES DE SUMMIT FOUNDATION
Augmente la prise de conscience écologique du grand public par l’organisation de campagnes d’information, de ramassages de déchets ainsi que par des ateliers d’éducation, de formations et de sensibilisation.
- En hiver,
la fondation sensibilise le grand public à l’écologie dans un cadre à vocation touristique (stations de ski, sentiers de randonnées en raquettes à neige, bords de lacs, ports de plaisance, etc.) Summit FOUNDATION est agréée par la Société Suisse des Remontées Mécaniques et est partenaire écologique de 65 stations de ski en Suisse et en France voisine.
- En été, Summit FOUNDATION promeut le développement durable des plus grandes manifestations sportives et culturelles en Suisse et en France voisine. Ce programme a pour but de diminuer l’impact négatif de telles manifestations sur l’environnement et de sensibiliser le public à la protection de la nature.
MAIN ACTIVITIES OF SUMMIT FOUNDATION
The aim is to raise awareness about ecological issues by organising information campaigns,
waste collection days (e.g. in the mountains) as well as educational workshops and seminars.
- In winter, the foundation conducts public awareness campaigns in touristic places such as ski resorts,
snowshoe hiking tracks, etc. Summit FOUNDATION is the official ecological partner of 65 ski resorts in
Switzerland and France (amongst others, Verbier, Zermatt, St-Mortiz, Wengen and Laax).
- In summer, Summit FOUNDATION promotes sustainable development in the major sports and cultural events in Switzerland.
The goal of this campaign is to reduce the negative ecological effects of that kind of event and to inform and raise public
awareness about protection of nature.
DIE HAUPTAKTIVITÄTEN VON SUMMIT FOUNDATION
Förderung des Umweltbewusstseins der breiten Öffentlichkeit mittels Aufklärungskampagnen, Abfallsammelaktionen sowie Aufklärungs-, Ausbildungs- und Informationsworkshops.
- Im Winter sensibilisiert die Stiftung die breite Öffentlichkeit an touristischen Standorten (Skistationen, Schneeschuh-Wanderwege, Seeufer, Jachthäfen usw.) für Umweltfragen. Summit FOUNDATION ist von Seilbahnen Schweiz, dem Verband der Schweizer Seilbahnbranche, anerkannt und arbeitet als Umweltpartner mit 65 Skistationen in der Schweiz und im grenznahen Frankreich zusammen.
- Im Sommer fördert Summit FOUNDATION die nachhaltige Entwicklung im Bereich der grössten sportlichen und kulturellen Veranstaltungen in der Schweiz und im grenznahen Frankreich. Ziel des Programms ist es, die negativen ökologischen Auswirkungen solcher Veranstaltungen zu verringern und die Öffentlichkeit für den Umweltschutz zu sensibilisieren.
LES SOLUTIONS PRINCIPALES DE SUMMIT FOUNDATION
Une petite boîte en fer blanc recyclé permettant aux personnes de conserver toutes sortes de petits déchets (chewing-gums, mégots de cigarettes, etc.).
Une solution industrielle au tri et à la gestion professionnelle des déchets dans les centres urbains, dans les entreprises, les immeubles, lors de manifestations, etc.
MAIN SOLUTIONS PROPOSED BY SUMMIT FOUNDATION
It is a small tin can that enables people to set aside small wastes such as chewing gums or cigarette butts instead of throwing it on the floor.
It is a mobile or stationary customisable container that enables people to sorts their waste.
It can be placed in public areas (Lausanne and many ski resorts have acquired some EcoPoints) as well as in firms or residential buildings.
Summit FOUNDATION also use the EcoPoints during sports or cultural events.
DIE ZENTRALEN UMWELTLÖSUNGEN VON SUMMIT FOUNDATION
In dem kleinen Behälter aus Weissblech lassen sich Kleinabfälle aller Art (Kaugummis, Zigarettenstummel usw.) deponieren.
Dieses Industriesystem sorgt für die professionelle Aufnahme und Trennung von Abfällen, wie sie in Stadtzentren, Unternehmen, Gebäude, bei Veranstaltungen usw. anfallen.
